NO PINK SAND HERE: Our beach-ified guest room

I did it!  I finished a project!  The Pink is gone and the Beach is making an appearance in our house.  I’ve finally painted the guest room (Sand Beach, Sherwin Williams) and while it isn’t my best paint job ever, at least it is completed.  I struggled through the whole thing because I just didn’t prep properly and was rushed.  More than likely, only I can tell.

I did need a beachy room in the house, even if it isn’t mine.  I shopped my house, which you know by now is my FAVORITE way to decorate.  I was able to use bedding, pillows and all kinds of things from prior projects.

We’ve had these lamps for a long time.  They got a quickie paint job.

Navy blue made a reappearance in my life with this room.  It’s been awhile since I’ve used that color.  And I am loving the end tables I found on clearance at Target.

The curtain rods were also a Target find.  The beautiful blue and white curtains?  Homegoods of course.

Many of you asked (ages ago) what I would do with my old window find.  I think it may have found a permanent home!

I still need to make a slipcover for the bench at the bottom of the bed.  For now, a throw blanket will do the trick.

The Littlest One donated her rock collection.  In a metal bucket, it makes a great door stop.

As you can tell, the room isn’t entirely finished.  There’s still a tub of things the Littlest One needs to go through and find a home for.  The walls are empty, I’m hoping to frame some of these vintage postcards from my favorite beach.

Some of the extra furniture (not in these pics) may not stay, but for now, I think the main area is welcoming and totally relaxing.
