It’s been 91 posts (92 including this one) and a full year since I started this blog. Unbelievable! It has been a great adventure for me to even try this. It was something that I never thought I would do and I’ve ended up having so much fun doing it.
Thank you to all my steady readers and also to those who drop by now and then! Here’s a quick look back at the past year on Me, Myself & DIY:
My first project post: The fall toolbox makeover – This one is going back out on the porch soon! I still love it even though it isn’t super fancy.
My most popular post: The lightswitch plate covers – It was so popular that it was picked up and shared by multiple sites. (I plan on doing a follow up to this post this year with more details and options.)
My favorite repurposing project: The old drawer turned cat bed. (of course!) Scooter and the bed made it onto a variety of sites as well.
My favorite holiday project: My ghost pumpkins. Easy and adorable!
The project my family uses the most: The dollar store pantry makeover (well, duh, it’s where we keep our food!)
The best thing that happened out of learning to blog? READING OTHER PEOPLE’S BLOGS! Special thanks to my blogging friends I’ve met via this blog that have supported me. Your likes and comments brighten my day!
Things I’ve found out about myself? I like writing a lot. I absolutely adore coming up with project ideas. It gives me a rush when I get a really good idea going. For some reason, I get nervous about too much attention but I am grateful and happy when others are inspired by my posts. I never want to lead anyone wrong, but DIY is a crazy adventure. My hubby is very patient. The Littlest One is a very creative thinker. It’s all good!
And so a new blogging year begins. Together we will see what happens while I keep trying to finding myself…ONE PROJECT AT A TIME!
