I found this for $10 at a thrift shop. (It had an equally gross back cushion, but I told them they keep it.) I will say – one of my better finds!
It is a total 70’s major manufacturer’s chair. But what a pretty shape it had – It needed love.
I went through all kinds of ideas. Aqua blue….you name it. But, it wanted to be gold –
IT TOLD ME SO! IT SPOKE TO ME.
Remember when I told you that I would never lie? Well I’m not lying – this project was totally doable. It was a simple rip down and put back together. I got rid of the foam but was able to use the wood bottom to reupholster the seat.
I also used a wipe-on Minwax stain product to bring the bamboo arms back to life. The fabric was tougher to choose – I tried something with a pattern first, but it just didn’t work. Here’s where we ended up. A lovely outdoor fabric (yes, I said OUTDOOR, weird huh?) that is perfect for my cats to leave their fur on. But it fits my front room so well!
But enough about me. WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH IT??
PS: Happy Hump Day!
